Well - its been a long time comin’, but the new Realbuzz blog (name to be determined) is up and working!
In the coming weeks and months, there will be some great announcements, and we’re also looking forward to responding to queries and comments that you may have about Realbuzz, our stories, characters and future!
We can probably also promise a surprise or three along the way - and maybe even some guest appearances from some folks you may know. So stay tuned and linked in!
Bye For Now!

We hope you all have a good time exploring our new website - and we really do invite all to post comments, questions and thoughts about Realbuzz, characters, stories, manga and the like. No doubt over time, this Blog will evolve, change and grow in interesting and perhaps unanticipated ways.
But now, we ask for your assistance: We need to give this BLOG a name.
Don’t you think that leaving it as “Realbuzz Studios, Inc. Blog” is just a tad…clunky?
Send in your suggestions, post them here and we’ll go through them.
And if we choose one from a submission, well - perhaps something a bit “special” will happen!
(Thats all the suits in “LEGAL” will let us say right now…!)
So, go ahead and give it a thought (or two) and sort, submit & send!
Thanks!

Just a quick note from Realbuzz at the NY CC. We’re going to try for a daily update, but comic con schedules being what they are…
Day Zero was the Icv2 Graphic Novel Conference, open only to professionals in the publishing field. Boiled down, the good news for Realbuzz readers is that all the major publishing companies think the tween-to-teen market is the next big growth area in manga publishing and there’s plenty of great new material coming out for you. We can’t claim to have started this trend, of course, but we’re proud to point out we were among the very first creating manga specifically for this group of readers. So be sure to check out our competitors’ new titles - AFTER you’ve checked out ours!
New York City is lovely this time of year; the skies have been bright and clear, the temperature cool but not chilly. If further proof was needed that manga has conquered America, Toys R’Us has a big advertising screen in Times Square showing clips 24/7 from a manga-based video game.
The public show starts early tomorrow and there will be lots to do and see. We hope to meet lots of fans at the booth (Thomas Nelson.) C U there!

The show opened to the public in mid-afternoon, but of course we went early to scope out all the other booths before the crowd rushed in. Everything from classic comics to cutting edge video games, with a large contingent of manga, J-pop, and cosplay thrown in.
Realbuzz Studios and the Thomas Nelson booth received a lot of heavy traffic. Highlight of the day was when award winning sci-fi author Orson Scott Card (he of ENDER’S GAME fame) dropped by to visit and chat with us. Then, in the words of the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, it was “Give it away/give it away/give it away now!” as we handed out 100 copies of GOOFYFOOT GURL #1 to lucky con attendees.
Sunday will be SERENITY giveaway day, so if you’re doing the con, be sure to drop by and score a copy!
Oddest thing we saw in NYC today: A restaurant gift shop selling chocolate flavor shampoo and bubble bath.

A bitter-sweet start to the convention today: Our opening panel was a tribute to the late, great Steve Gerber, the creator of Howard the Duck as well as numerous other comic books and TV shows. Steve was a dear friend, a truly wonderful man who was always willing to help others and, in two industries ruled by world class ego-maniacs, never copped an attitude of entitlement or elitism. It was a privilege to know him and a pity to say good-bye.
On a brighter note, 100 lucky con attendees received copies of SERENITY today (Saturday) with another lucky 100 ones getting their books tomorrow (only they don’t know it yet!).
Oddest thing seen in New York today: A Catholic friar wearing a baseball cap.
